Dr. Sandler has a long and distinguished career in regulation, health care delivery systems, research, health/exposure information technology and problem solving in occupational and environmental medicine. Dr. Sandler has developed a wide range of criteria for regulation and consensus standards, performed risk assessments and epidemiological research as well as, designed, implemented and managed numerous programs in occupational and environmental health.

Dr. Blume is a residency-trained, board-certified specialist in occupational and environmental medicine. He holds degrees in medicine, public health and engineering. He has experience in: clinical occupational medicine, toxicology, regulatory compliance, medical standards development, epidemiology, risk assessment, medical record review and analysis, and medical case management.

Mr. Ertel holds a degree in Environmental Science and is a Certified Industrial Hygienist and Registered Environmental Manager. His experience includes industrial hygiene consulting (noise, silica, diesel exhaust, welding fumes and other chemicals), microbiological contamination (fungi and bacteria), indoor air quality projects, exposure modeling projects, risk assessments and research. He has also provided expert witness services for litigation related to occupational exposures.

Anish K. Ranpuria, MPH, CIH, was appointed Director of Business Development of Sandler Occupational Medicine Associates Inc. (SOMA) in January 2008.  Prior to this, he was a Senior Project Manager in 2007 and an independent consultant to SOMA, since March 2005.  Mr. Ranpuria holds degrees in biology and public health and is a Certified Industrial Hygienist with experience in exposure sampling, indoor air quality, microbiological contamination, OSHA regulations, literature reviews, technical proposal preparation, and technical consultation and toxicology support. His occupational health experience includes management and administration of nationwide medical surveillance programs, hearing conservation programs, and drug and alcohol testing programs and policy development.

 

 Priya Nagarajan, CIH, MEng - Director of Industrial Hygiene & Toxicology

Ms. Nagarajan has over five years of experience in recognizing, evaluating and controlling employees’ exposures to health hazards at their workplace; including exposure assessments, indoor air quality projects, exposure modeling, hazards management, quantitative risk assessments and research. She manages industrial hygiene projects and programs for various clients including: mines and quarries, commercial and residential facilities, health care facilities, small and large-scale industries and legal firms.

Mr. Springston has been a Certified Industrial Hygienist since 1993 and holds a sub-specialty certificate in Indoor Environmental Quality. He has over twenty years of experience in recognizing, evaluating and controlling employees’ exposures to health hazards at their workplace. He has participated in and overseen hundreds of indoor environmental quality studies, both investigative and proactive, in over 50,000,000 square feet of building space.

 

 

 Anne M. Kogut, CIH, CSP, MS

Ms. Kogut joined SOMA in 2007 as a Senior Industrial Hygienist. She has been a Certified Industrial Hygienist since 1993 and a Certified Safety Professional since 1995. She has over 20 years of experience in the recognition, evaluation and control of workplace hazards in a variety of industries including defense, healthcare, metal manufacturing, food processing, and theme parks.

 

 Pam Burda, MS, CHP, CSP

Ms. Burda has determined health hazards and environmental conditions present in occupational and residential settings. She is a Certified Health Physicist and has over fifteen years of experience in evaluating and controlling health hazards in the workplace. She holds degrees in Chemistry and Nuclear Engineering. She has experience in occupational health, including ionizing and non-ionizing radiation protection, industrial hygiene, safety, and quality assurance.

 

 Carol Woodruff - Business Development

With a degree in Environmental Sciences, Ms. Woodruff has been in the Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Health industry for over 20 years. She smoothly transitioned from scientist to sales and marketing and is responsible for new business development and maintaining the current customer base. She has spent many years working extensively with federal, state and local government agencies, large manufacturers, as well as with the commercial and private sectors.
